    Responsibilities

    As a Supervisory Contract Specialist GS 1102 15, your typical work assignments may include:

    • Primary point of contact for program officials on all acquisition and administrative matters affecting the major procurement of supplies, services (including architectural and engineering, or research and development) using formal advertising or negotiation procedures.
    • Directly supervises and coordinates the activities of subordinate staff consisting of contract specialists.
    • Manages complex, sensitive, critical, and precedent-setting DHS Procurement programs and initiatives that serve as a guide for other DHS procurement activities.
    • Provides authoritative recommendations to improve procurement operations and customer service, and develops or presents training on procurement-related topics.

    Travel Required

    25% or less - You may be expected to travel for this position.
