These positions are with the Department of Homeland Security, within U.S. Customs and Border Protection, Office of Intelligence, Northeast Regional Intelligence Center located in Albany, NY; Baltimore, MD; Boston, MA, Buffalo, NY, New York, NY; Newark, NJ.

These positions are non-reimbursable and will be used to staff key positions.

These are 1-yr non-reimburseable positions w/option an to extend 1-yr.

Responsibilities:
- Incumbent is responsible for tactical, operational, and strategic level all-source analysis of classified and unclassified reporting on all-threats in all operational environments in the NE RIC AoR.
- Coordinate and collaborate with internal and external partners on the development of finished intelligence and products.
- Ensure that all intelligence analytical processes align with all pertinent CBP legal authorities, policies, and guidelines; and complies with accepted standards, including those established by the CBP Intelligence Enterprise Key Intelligence Officials.
- Contribute to short and long term planning and use intelligence processes and methods to support threat prioritization.
- Through systematic and comprehensive research, identify and evaluate the adversarial capabilities, composition, and nature of the threat posed by the adversary. In addition, assess the impact to CBP's mission and assist in formulating potential courses of action for threat mitigation.
- Produces finished intelligence products and briefings that inform CBP and IC stakeholders on all threats in the NE RIC AoR. In addition, produce or assist in the production of intelligence products that inform CBP and IC stakeholders on all trends, threats, and address intelligence gaps.
- Establish and maintain a close working relationship with regional and national-level counterparts on CI matters to promote unity of effort and synergy throughout the whole of government.

If the position requires a security clearance, employees must have a SECRET or TOP SECRET clearance to placement AND must maintain that level of clearance while performing in the position.

Selected applicants for a JDA are requested to fulfill the items below during the JDA:

  1. Complete the DHS Training Course 15 days prior to the arrival to the JDA.
  2. Complete the DHS Joint Duty Assignment Progress Plan to include:
    • Phase 1: Establish assignment objectives within the first 30 days of the JDA.
    • Phase 2: Complete a self-assessment of the duties performed at the mid-point of the JDA.
    • Phase 3: Complete a final review within the last 30 days of the JDA.
