The primary purpose of this position is to serve as a Supervisory Government Information Specialist (Director, Privacy Oversight) a key advisor to the Senior Director (Policy & Oversight) where you will maintain, coordinate, and develop the operational process for Privacy Compliance Reviews (PCRs) and other privacy and oversight responsibilities at the Department.Learn more about this agency
As a Supervisory Government Information Specialist (Director, Privacy Oversight) GS 0306 15, your typical work assignments may include:
- Maintain, coordinate, and further develop the operational process for Privacy Compliance Reviews (PCRs).
- Plan, direct, coordinate, lead, counsel, and evaluate performance of subordinate staff.
- Represent the Senior Director and the DHS Privacy Office in internal working groups and interagency policy committees (IPCs), sub-IPCs, interagency working groups, meetings before other audiences, both domestic and international.
- Participates in top-level meetings with department officials and contributes advice on privacy oversight policy.
Occasional travel - You may be expected to travel for this position.
