    This Supervisory Equal Employment Specialist position is located in the EEO Management, Civil Rights Division, Office of Civil Rights & Liberties, Ombudsman and Traveler Engagement, Transportation Security Administration (TSA), Department of Homeland Security (DHS).  Duties include but are not limited to:

    • Serves as a supervisor who oversees the workload of lower-banded EEO Specialists and EEO Assistant; ensures timeliness, legal and technical proficiency in the processing of EEO formal complaints (Investigations, Hearings, Appeals, Amendments, Remands, Settlement Compliances and other Inquires such as Congressional and FOIA Requests) in accordance with EEOC Regulations at 29 CFR. Part 1614 and EEOC MO 110.
    • Ensures that all EEO complaints are completed on a timely basis in accordance with EEOC requirements and regulations. Ensures thorough, timely and accurate processing of the most complex equal employment opportunity complaints and demonstrates continuous improvement in the quality and timeliness of case processing. Processes the most difficult formal complaints addressing issues often without precedent in the agency.
    • Utilizes iComplaints, E-File, and Excel to generate reports and respond to requests for data to prepare of reports mandated by the EEOC. Prepares written complaint status report and other EEO-related reports.
    • Provides advice and assistance to managers, supervisors, and employees on all aspects and stages of EEO complaints processing in the civilian Federal sector.
